Description
Mechanism Of Action Of Paracetamol:
- Paracetamol acts on the hypothalamus to produce an antipyretic effect, as fever develops when the hypothalamus is set to a higher-than-normal temperature.
- Paracetamol works peripherally to block pain impulse generation; may also inhibit prostaglandin synthesis in CNS.

- It is an antipyretic drug used to treat fever. Fever is a temporary increase in your body temperature.
- Used to relieve mild to moderate pain including different types of pain, reduce fever and relieve discomfort that may occur with infections, especially in case of cold and flu.
Method Of Administration Of Tylenol 100 Mg Suppositories:
- Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you.
- Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
- Doses may change from patient to patient based on your age, your medical condition, and whether or not you are taking other medicines, so always follow your physician’s instruction
- 3–6 months: 1 100mg suppository 2–3 times a day.
- 6–12 months: 1 100mg suppository 3–4 times a day.
- Lubricate the tip of the suppository with either water or a water-based lubricant.
- Insert the lubricated tip of the suppository into the rectal opening.
- Push it in using your index finger or small finger for younger children and hold it against the rectal wall for a few seconds, this will keep it in place.
- Doses may be changed in special conditions so always follow your doctor’s or pharmacist’s instructions.
- If you take more than you should, talk to a doctor or go to the hospital straight away.
- If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember it unless it is nearly time for your next dose.
- Do not take a double dose (two doses at the same time) to make up for the forgotten dose.
